What version of Excel are you running? 2002(XP) and newer should already have "Favorites" on the "My Places" bar in the filesave as and fileopen dialog. If not there, see this KB article http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;282087 You can stick any folder you want onto the "My Places" bar. Also the default folder can be typed into the dialog box at ToolsOptionsGeneralDefault file location. "Save" will use that folder.
