Default Excel 2003: Match one list against another and highlight differenc

You should be able to match one list against a similar list (or range of
data) in order to find differences between the two- eg List one contains
names, list two contains some of the names, but some have been removed. I
would like to be able to highlight those in the second list which are also in
the first list, but I believe this is not possible within excel. I have tried
Match, VLookup, If, Exact etc... but not of these have worked without a
complicated method of using all three....

Hi

i'm assuming there's a question here :)
have you checked out Chip Pearson's page on duplicates?
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/duplicat.htm

this might provide some solutions for you
