Default How do I change location of figures within a column

I would like to align both numbers and letters within a column to either
center or right or left. How do I do this

Hi Dan

choose tools / customise / options tab and tick or untick (depending on your
version) the option which refers to standard & formatting toolbars on one or
two rows - you want them on two rows.

now select your column and then on the formatting toolbar (the bottom one)
you will see three icons (to the right of the underline icon), these are the
left align, center align and right align icons - click on the appropriate
one.
