how do you group and ungroup rows or columns in new Excel?

On the menu:
Data - Group & Outline - Group (or Ungroup) You can add buttons to a toolbar to do the same thing: View - Toolbars - Customize Click the Commands tab Click 'Data' in the left window In the right window, scroll down to the Group button and drag it to a toolbar.
