Rather than hitting the space bar repeatedly, it would be useful to place
cursor at point in text you want to move down within cell and hit enter. Keep text in same cell, but without cursor jumping to cell below. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Actually, there is a way to achieve what you are looking for in Excel. Here are the steps:
This will move the text down within the same cell without the cursor jumping to the cell below. You can repeat this process as many times as you need to move the text down further.

I'm not quite sure I quite understand what you want, but try hitting the
