Default How to type correctly formula in calculated field in a pivot?

I want to properly type in the formula in a calculated field in a pivot.
E.g. formula=Average(field1+field2).
I have a error message saying that the typing is wrong...

use a comma instead of a +
=average(Field1,Field2)
