I use a lot of Excel spreadsheets in PowerPoint slides. Some of the ones I
get are pretty ugly. Does anyone have any tips on formatting spreadsheets so they look better? So far, all of the places I've looked talk about formulas, but not on making the spreadsheet look better. Thanks! -- Linda Adams http://www.hackman-adams.com http://www.david-hedison.com |

How are they 'ugly'? One way to clean them up a bit that some people think
looks better is to turn off the grid lines and only outline the areas that need to be outlined. "Linda Adams" wrote: I use a lot of Excel spreadsheets in PowerPoint slides. Hi, Linda-
This is a pretty subjective topic, and will be best answered on a case by case basis depending on what volume of information will be presented, and how complicated is that information. Just as the best way to tell a story is to leave out as many details as possible and relay just the important details, keeping spreadsheets as simple as possible will go over well on Ppoint. I'd also suggest arranging data in a manner that is most intuitive for someone who is a) seeing it for the first and possibly only time, and b) watching a Ppoint presentation, and who thereby may be on the verge of sleep or a boredom-induced coma. Not to be overly flip about it- I'd say generally speaking, simplicity is your friend. |
