Default when i type in 0 in excel 2000 it converts into -1

Whenever I type in just 0 in Excel 2000, it gets converted into -1
automatically and for all the formulas, excel treats it as -1 and not 0.
Please help!!!!

I was wandering how this could have happened and I didn't even think of your suggestion, which is very likely to be the case!
Maybe my wife *is* right after all and I'm too naive....

I once switched the monitors on 2 terminals to a mainframe for an old guy (I
was young then) I was working with and it was quite fun to watch him
