Is there a way to put a line across each page using footer in page setup?

Not sure how this was supposed to go, but I use 60 spaces in a cell,
underlined, copy, ESC (which keeps the copy) and paste into the centre
tab of the page footer.

This gives me the best page bottom line I have been able to achieve,

Then I clear the cell.

Hope this helps.

to copy characters (rather than 'cell copy', select the cell, then
select the characters shown in the Formula Bar, copy, then press ESC to
release the lock (but retain the copy), then go to the page footer and
paste.

Go to File, Page Setup, Header/Footer, Custom Footer, Left Pane

Put in 4 spaces and press Enter, then left arrow twice to get to line
1, and Shift-left arrow to select the 4 spaces, click the A (font
details) and select Underline, Single. Click in between the underlined
spaces and add enough spaces to cross your page.

Down arrow to the next line, and click for &[Page] and then type
London ~~~ etc
press enter and type 'Ended' and press to get the date (or type your
date)

OK to close the window, and check in Preview, lengthen or shorten the
underlined spaces to suit.

Hope this helps

Thanks Bryan.

It works except for the number number of characters, there a limit of 255
characters for the whole footer, that includes the line (Spaces).

Anyway round this problem?
