Default Excel 97 external data tables in Excel 2003

Does anyone know how to fix the linkage between external sources in an Excel
1997 file when using it in Excel 2003 ? The linkages are lost and it insists
on me entering in a multitude of ODBC addresses. As there are over 170
sheets in this set and recoding time is estimated at 5 days, I would
appreciate anyone who could suggest an alternative.

Many thanks

Neil
