Default Annoying problem

When highlighting numbers of cells by holding down Ctrl and individually
selecting numbers of cells say 20, after getting to the 5th or 6th, the
previously highlighted cells become un-highlighted and I either have to
start again or select only 2 or 3 at a time.

Anyone else get this?

New keyboard etc.

Barney.

I've never seen this.

If you're really sure it isn't you, then maybe swapping the mouse or keyboard
would be the next test???

I'm able to highlight dozens of individual cells and small ranges in my Excel
97 SR2. Which version of Excel are you using, and does this problem occur in
all Excel files or just this one.........and if just this one, does it act
the same on another computer?

If you can't get the keyboard issue figured out, Excel can help you in
another way.

Say you want to add several cells. Type the equal sign, then select the
first cell to be added. Now press Shift-F8 & then click on all the other
individual cells & ranges you want.
