In a column how do I format so all numbers align using dollar signs? For
example, $225 $1,035 $850 $1,125 $850 I am not able to figure out how to align the numbers so they flow through the column in the following manner: $ 255 $1,035 $ 25 $2,225 |

Use one of the accounting style formats and verify that the cells are not set

$?,??0
or $* #,##0 insert one of these as a custom number format. The first will put a space of four digits wether it is fill or not (similar to what you want).
