hi...

i've connected a sheet with some sheets using vlookup to return a
value. the problem is that in some instances no output is
displayed.....& if i go to the base sheet and just write
something....then delete to remain as original and press enter.....the
corresponding output is displayed in the main worksheet.

For ex. main sheet......

Column A
10098776

Base Sheet

Col A Col B
10098776 43.98
So just typing 10098776ldksjflsd & deleting this and pressing enter
...displays the right no. 43.98 in the main sheet.

format n all seems the same...then y this problem in some places?

Sounds as if you are in manual calculation mode. Use Tools | Options |
Calculations (tab) to check.
