I have 5 to 10 users entering data by rows into a simple shared workbook.
There are different versions of excel but none older than excel 2000. Can Excel allow users entering data into the same cells at the same time avoid having to deal with the conflict resolution popup? For example 2 users are inputting data into cells on row number 465 and they "save" at approximately the same time. Excel than automatically allows the first save to populate row 465 and populates row 466 with the second save? I managed to acheive this result by having a co-worker hit the save button at the same time by counting "one, two, three... now" if you can believe it. When I try saving at my station, walking to another and saving i cannot emulate the same result but get the conflict resolution window. Thanks all Blair |
