Default How to put a parameter into an Excel Query

I am creating an external data query in excel to reterive data from a SQL
database, one of the fields in the db is a date. When I run the query I want
Excel to asked me for a date range for the data to return.

Can any one tell me what I have to enter into the MS Query Editor in the
query criteria area to bring up a window that asks for the start and end date
of the data that it will reterive?

Thanks in advance for any assistance
