Expanding Data validation from List
I have created many spreadsheet for other users and have tried to set them
up, as much as possible, so they add their own information into cells so they can be in the data validation from list drop down boxes. I have had to go back and add more room in the data validation list because it was longer than I expected. Is there I way I can set up the data validation so the list they get will grow when they add more to the list? Thanks Mark |
Hi Mark,
Try using a dynamic range for the Data Validation List. For information on the use of dynamic ranges, see Debra Dalgleish's page on dynamic ranges at: http://www.contextures.com/xlNames01.html#Dynamic --- Regards, Norman "mark hansen" wrote in message .. . That did the trick, thanks for pointing me in that direction. I love the
web site, LOTS of great information and examples. Thanks for not only helping, but pointing me to a great resource on the web. Mark "Norman Jones" wrote in message ...
