Yes.
In EXCEL 2007 for cell D4:- 1. Right hand click in cell and select Format Cells. 2. Format Cells should launch. 3. Number tab / Currency setting on left hand side / set Symbol: to $ English (United States) / OK 4. Enter 100 into the cell so that it appears as follows:- $100.00 5. Home / Alignment group / Center Cell D 4 is correctly centred. Please hit Yes if my comments have helped. Thanks. "Wombat" wrote: Is this possible? It's on the Alignment tab of the Format Cells dialogue box.
In the future, tell us what you tried, and your version of Excel. Regards, Fred "Wombat" wrote in message ... Is this possible? I've tried but the text in the cell always sticks to the right... |

If it is Accounting Format you cannot center it.
If Currency Format go ahead and center it via FormatCellsAignmentHozizontalCenter. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Wed, 10 Feb 2010 07:46:01 -0800, Wombat wrote: Is this possible? I've tried but the text in the cell always sticks to the right... |

Yes, it is possible to center the text in a cell with a money format. Here's how you can do it:
Now the text in the cell with a money format should be centered. If you still have trouble, make sure that the cell is wide enough to accommodate the currency symbol and the value. You can adjust the column width by dragging the column boundary to the left or right.
