Default Filling cells (autofil?) in Excel 2003

Hi,

I have a need to populate a large portion of cells with telephone numbers
and I'm wondering if there is a quick way to do this.

For example, I might start off a cell with the telephone number 82370000 and
will need to populate a column with consecutive numbers up to 82379999 (a
total of 10,000 numbers.

What I have awkwardly tried to do is to use the autofill feature and drag
down 10,000 cells. But, this it pretty difficult to scroll down with as
excel scrolls too quick.

Is there a way I can tell excel to fill downwards for a quantity of 10,000
cells without dragging with the mouse downwards?

Try the following...

1) Enter your initial amount in A1

2) Select/click A1

3) Edit Fill Series

Series in: Columns

Type: Linear

Step value: 1

Stop value: 82379999

4) Click Ok

Hope this helps!

Edit, Fill, shows up, down, left, right, and Justify. Series and Across
Worksheets are grayed out.
