I am using Office 2000, and I have a bunch of charts that are all related and
use the same data (ie I have a consolidated chart and then charts that are the individual series from the consolidated chart). Is there a way that I can have excel automatically produce these sub-charts from the series in the main chart? It is time consuming to have to update each chart every month. |

Look into "record macro". It will record your keystrokes and cell selections
as you create the subcharts. You'll be asked to assign a shortcut key and each month you would enter the shortcut key (the macro has to be part of the spreadsheet or referenced in the spreadsheet), and the keystrokes and cell selections you recorded will play back. It will take some time to get the hang of it, writing out every single action will help. I tried to record a macro to do it, but I need to change my source data each
month. How do I get the macro to shift the source data down one cell each time I call the macro? "Carole O" wrote: Look into "record macro".
