Default Changing default decimal places

Is there a way to change the default decimal places for cell formatting. For
example, whenever I use the currency format, it automatically defaults to 2
decimal places. I would like to change that to 0. In tools/options/edit, I
already have the fixed decimal places set to O, but that does not seem to
work.

thanks,

Go to,
<Format <Style
And expand the "Style Name" window, and click on "Currency".

Click on "Modify", which brings up the standard, familiar Format window.

Adjust the format to what you wish, then <OK <OK.

RD has given you a solution to your needs but for additional info....

The ToolsOptionsEditFixed Decimal Places is not used for setting the number
of decimal places as you surmise.

Its use is to allow you to enter a number without inserting a decimal.

i.e. set to 2 and enter 12345.

12345 will return 123.45

set -3 and enter 12345

12345 will return 12345000

Basically FDP is just a shortcut method of entering numbers so you don't need
to insert a .
