I am trying to copy text into Excel from Word, and keep the paragraph breaks
and other formatting. When I copy the text over it is not all displayed within the cell for printing. Is there anyway to keep the text formatting and display all the text in the cell? |

As far as I know, no, there is no way to really preserve paragraph formatting
from Word when in Excel. However, there are some ways to mimic it... If, for example, you have pasted to paragraphs into Excel, each paragraph would have been pasted into one cell, so you now have two cells containing text, one below the other. Highlight these cells and right click Format Cells - Alignment Tab. In the text alignment section, change the vertical alignment to, "Top." In the text control section, check "Wrap Text." This will resize your cells to show the whole paragraph, without changing the width of the cell (making the cell very long). Now, adjust the cell width yourself to obtain a suitable size for your paragraph. Use spaces instead of Tabs if you want to indent the first line of your paragraphs. Hope this helps! -- Anne Murray "Beckyblanco" wrote: I am trying to copy text into Excel from Word, and keep the paragraph breaks and other formatting.
