It's possible, although blinking text is darned irritating to most people

Hi Duke:
I have tried it out before posting the question. It does not work in a protected worksheet. Works for me in a protected worksheet.

Hi Gord,
Could I send the example to your email addresss for an unprotected worksheet. When I try to protect it, the blinking stops and asks for a debugger in VBA. Or please send me a sample of yours.
