I'd like to highlight (e.g. with yellow background) part of the text in a
cell. All I can find is highlight for the entire cell. Any ideas? thanks, jva |

hi
no. you can't high light part of the background. but you can high light part of the text. in the formula bar, high light the text you want then right click the formula bar. notice that all you can format is the text. format to your desired format. click ok then press enter. this works for hard text only. will not work with formulas or numbers. i am sure therer may be a limit to the number of formats you can have in one cell but i don't know what it is. regards "JVA" wrote: I'd like to highlight (e.g. with yellow background) part of the text in a cell.
