How do you enter headings in columns and not have the headings in row one. I
would like my first entry in row one just below the heading. Thank you. |

Why not just type in row 2? You can then use windows/freeze panes and rows 1
and 2 will be always in view. Or you can hide row 1 or make it very small height if you wish. It's not clear what problem you're having by using a row other than 1... Tools/ Options/ View will allow you to deselect "Row and column headers", so
you can then put in your own headings in row 1 (and column A if desired) and display just those (with Windows/ Freeze panes to keep them visible). -- David Biddulph "pareed" wrote in message ... I just received a membership list from a club I belong to and the column
headings are above row one and I wanted to be able to create my own membership list of another club and have it look the same. Yes, I could subtract one from the last members number to find out how many members are in the club, but it seems to me there should be a way to start a membership list with the first member being in the number one spot.
