Blue Border and Down to the right arrow - BIZARRE DON'T KNOW
Hello,
A co-worker of mine received an excel file in the mail with one column highlighted or bordered in blue lines (though the borders in format cells were cleared). When he went to the upper right corner of the top most cell in the column, the arrow became 45deg angle down to the right. We have no idea what this is. Can you please enlighten? Excel 2003 on XP Pro. Thanks. -- BlueWolverine MSE - Mech. Eng. Go BLUE! |

Seems to me the file is set in print preview mode. Try clicking on View from
the toolbar and going to Normal "BlueWolverine" wrote: Hello, A co-worker of mine received an excel file in the mail with one column highlighted or bordered in blue lines (though the borders in format cells were cleared). I don't believe so. Just the one column was like that and the rest were
absolutely normal. Also if it were in print preview mode, you wouldn't see columns, with headers (A,B,C,D etc) you'd see just the page as printable. Now, in Page Break mode that sounds right but the area being printed is always the one surrounded by blue, and the rest is grayed out. Nothing was grayed out, even outside the blue border on just the one column. I will confirm this later, but I am 99.9% positive that Print Preview mode is NOT what's happening. -- BlueWolverine MSE - Mech. Eng. Go BLUE! It's a List, and you can change or remove it by using commands on the
DataList menu. You can find more information on Lists in Excel's Help.
