A cell contains a linked formula to other cells. The
destination cell will only show the information from the source cell if the destination cell is "double clicked" and the OK icon is clicked. The Options / Calculations / "Automatic" option button is enabled. This problem does not occur with other files. The file with the problem is over 11 meg in size, where the other files are less than 6 meg. HELP! |

Hi
do you see the text 'Calculate' in your statusbar and does hitting F9 help?. If yes it could be that you just have to many formulas to allow automatic calculation "Pete" wrote: A cell contains a linked formula to other cells. Thank you Frank. It appears to have fixed itself. The
next time this occurs I'll verify the status bar and hit the F9 function key. -----Original Message----- Hi do you see the text 'Calculate' in your statusbar and does hitting F9 help?. I think when that Calculate stays on the statusbar, excel still calculates.
From a KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=243495 XL: Calculate Message Remains in Status Bar If 65,536 Formula References ....After the workbook has passed this limit, Excel no longer attempts to recalculate only changed cells. Instead, it recalculates all cells after each change. This behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel. Microsoft Excel will correctly calculate all formulas. ...
