I want to have more than one line of text in the same Excel Cell without
using the wrap text format option. For example, I want to put an entire
address in the Cell by typing in the name of the person, then hit enter, type
the steet address, then hit enter, then type in the city, state, and zip.

Use alt-enter to put in a line break.

Robert

Type the person's name then hold ALT key and hit <ENTER key.

Type next line then ALT + <ENTER again.

Type third line then hit just <ENTER key to leave the cell.

Hi

Do as you have been instructed and used Alt+Enter

After you have finished, mark the cellsFormatAlignmentremove check mark
from Wrap text.
You will see a small square symbol appearing between each entry you have
made, where the line feed would appear in wrap text mode.

Alt + ENTER is the tried and true method of inserting a linefeed in a cell.

Person name Alt + ENTER, street address Alt + ENTER etc.

Hit just ENTER when you are done.

Easily found in Help under Keyboard ShortcutsKeys for entering, editing,
formatting, and calculating data

Alt + Enter is second in the list.

You should spend a few minutes one day going through the list of keyboard
shortcuts. Can be quite handy.
