Everytime I try to move through the cells with the arrow keys the cursor
actually moves in the opposite direction I tell it to. For example, I hit
the left arrow key and the cursor moves right! Has anyone ever seen this
before?

DO you by change have Scroll Lock on? Look on your keyboard and tap the key.

Thanks Bernard. I actually did try that but didn't make a difference.
Actually, the "SCRL" that shows up in the bottom right of the screen when
scroll lock is on never disappears even when I hit the scroll lock key. It's
like scroll lock is permanentally on.... any additional thoughts?

Probably your keyboard has problem change it with another and check it.

It sounds to me like you have a stuck key on your keyboard.

If you gently bang on that key, it may help.

Or try swapping keyboards.

Yes, I have seen this issue before. It can be frustrating when the arrow keys don't work as expected. The good news is that there is a simple solution to fix this problem.

Here are the steps to fix the arrow keys moving in the opposite direction:

1. Open Excel and click on the "File" tab in the top left corner.
2. Click on "Options" in the left-hand menu.
3. In the Excel Options dialog box, click on "Advanced" in the left-hand menu.
4. Scroll down to the "Editing options" section.
5. Uncheck the box next to "Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop".
