Default Execl DrWatson Error 80000007

I don't know anyone who can interpret Dr Watson dumps.

You may want to describe what you were doing when excel crashed.

And if it happens with all workbooks or just one (or some).

And what version of excel you're using.

Sometimes, the file that holds the customized toolbar gets corrupted.

Can you try this:
Close excel (if you have it open(!))
windows start button|Run
excel /safe

This starts excel in safe mode. Macros are disabled and your toolbar file isn't
loaded (along with addins and other startup files).

Does that work?

If yes:

Close excel
Windows start button|Search
look for *.xlb
in hidden folders, too

Rename them all to *.xlbOLD and restart excel to see if it helps.

If it doesn't help, rename them back to *.xlb.

If it does, delete those *.xlbOLD files and recreate any customized toolbars.

If it didn't work, then the next step will be doing some detective work.

Chip Pearson has some notes on how to diagnose startup errors:
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/StartupErrors.htm

And Jan Karel Pieterse has more notes:
