When setting up a pivot table i have a field 'names' which I have placed in
the 'Drop Page Fields Here' so that I can print the rest of the table for each individual. However when I select the drop down it offers me all the names in random order. This would be ok with up to 10 names but is very time consuming when there re a couple of hudred names. Is it possible to put the drop downinto alphabetical order? -- Tony |

Hi Tony
That isn't as easy as it might sound. However, here's code that comes somewhat close to what you want to do. http://www.contextures.com/xlPivot04.html In any case, it already gives you most of the objects you need. I don't know if it could be tweaked to sort, but you might give it a try. -- Wigi http://www.wimgielis.be = Excel/VBA, soccer and music "Tony" wrote: When setting up a pivot table i have a field 'names' which I have placed in the 'Drop Page Fields Here' so that I can print the rest of the table for each individual.
