Default making labels 'Easy to detect'

I have a macro that I'm using to create subtotals. I'm having problems
because it prompts 'Excell cannot determine which row in your list or
selection contains column labels'. I want the labels to be easily
detectibale so the macro doesn't continue to prompt. How do I create labels
that are easy to detect?
