Default Filters

I thought I understood filters; I filtered a column to show non blanks and I
expected that all the cells in that column would show up with the data in
numberical order. - instead they are in random order. I do have filters on
other columns but that shouldn't affect it - should it?

Hi Steve,
No a filter leaves the data in it's original order, it doesn't sort it.
Other filters don't make any difference.

hi there,
i have been able to use it to sort data in the column before using the
filter (and without using the sort funtion in the data menu. )
