Can anyone help me with a problem I am having with my links. I have a main
file that is on a mapped drive. This file has formulas that are linked to
other files within different sub folders. Each time I open the main file it
ask to update the link, and I select Yes, however, some of the links give me
ERR.

When I select the cell to see if the link is ok, the link appears to be ok.
However, when I refresh the link it gives me a dialog box to find the linked
file. I find it, then save it, and when I reopen the file I get the same
error again, and again and again. I have many links in this file and it is
tedious to relink again and again.

Can anyone please help me? Thank you very much for you kind assistance.

When your having links with some other books, Excel will recalculates
formulas when ever you are opening the book. It will display "update
links","dont update links", When you made any changes in the source work book
excell asks you to update the links in the destination file. If you want to
change the modifications from the souce file to destination file click
"update links".If you don't want the changes made in source file to
destination file click "dont update".
Having links is most difficult thing, so better break the links and create
when ever you need.
