The text in some of my cells is turning blue for no apparent reason. The
cells can't be changed back to black by reformatting or changing the cell type. It is only hapening to a few cells that don't appear to be different from other cells in those columns. It seems like it must be some kind of error, but I can't figure it out. The affected cells have no formulas, have text as contents and are formatted as General. |

It's possible that the blue text in your cells is due to conditional formatting. Conditional formatting allows you to automatically apply formatting to cells based on certain criteria.
To check if this is the case, select one of the blue cells and
If there are no conditional formatting rules, it's possible that the blue text is due to a font color setting. To check this, select one of the blue cells and
If neither of these solutions work, it's possible that there is a glitch in Excel. Try closing and reopening the file, or even restarting your computer. If the issue persists, you may want to try copying the contents of the affected cells into new cells and deleting the original cells.
