In Excel 2003, you right-click a subtotal line that you don't want to have
displayed. You then click "Hide." Poof. All subtotals for that row heading disappear from the whole pivot table. Where has this feature gone in Excel 2007? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks. --Au |

You can right-click on a subtotal, and remove the check mark from
Subtotal<fieldname Or, to hide all the subtotals: On the Ribbon, in the PivotTable Tools tab, click the Design tab In the Layout group, click on Subtotals Choose Do Not Show Subtotals Aurelio wrote: In Excel 2003, you right-click a subtotal line that you don't want to have displayed. Thanks for the answer. It does, indeed, address the question that I asked.
Here's the additional functionality that I need: In Excel 2003, the pivottable fields were displayed on a SINGLE row after you removed all field subtotals. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to get Excel 2007 pivottables to display just ONE row after I remove all field subtotals. Thanks, --Au "Debra Dalgleish" wrote: You can right-click on a subtotal, and remove the check mark from Subtotal<fieldname Or, to hide all the subtotals: On the Ribbon, in the PivotTable Tools tab, click the Design tab In the Layout group, click on Subtotals Choose Do Not Show Subtotals Aurelio wrote: In Excel 2003, you right-click a subtotal line that you don't want to have displayed.
