I need a custom format to show separately numbers and percents with zero,
one, or two decimal places depending on what the value I enter. For example, if I enter 100, 57.5, and 25.26 into different cells, I need them to show up exactly as entered. Can someone tell me how to set up a custom format to do this? |

Why not Format as General, rather than Number?

That would work if all the numbers were either a whole number or a number
with one or two decimals, but some of them carry out to multiple decimals, and I do not want to show anything beyond two decimals. Then, why not round to 2 decimal places, then format as General.
