Default Data Validation

Hello all. My question concerns the message box within Excel Data
Validation.

I have 2 cells on OPPOSITE ends of a worksheet which use different
Data Validations. My problem is that both message boxes appear in one
place. I would like each Validation box to appear next to the cell
which is selected. Any ideas?

Thanks. Dan.

Sometimes, you can just show that data|validation input message box and move it
to where you want it.

If you're really unlucky, usually closing (and saving???) the workbook and
reopening will put the input message box back to their original location.

Dave's suggestion to close and reopen the workbook should fix the problem.
Usually, if you move one of the data validation message boxes while it's
displayed, all the validation messages will appear in that spot until
you close and reopen the file.

Ahhh.

I just figured that I moved both of my test validation test boxes (kind of
grouped).

Don't touch the data validation boxes! And it's the same in Excel 2007,
so I guess it's a feature. <g
