Default Query of an Access database won't let me get more than 95 fields.

I created a query of an Access database and I need 100+ fields to be
imported. I can break up the query into 2 seperate queries but would like to
keep it simple by bringing it all in with one query.

Is there some other problem or is this a limit set up by default in Excel?
Can I increase the number of fields I can import at one time?

Any other simple solution(s)?
