Default CAN I IMPORT DATA FROM A CLOSED FILE TO A NEW WORKSHEET

i want to gather information from one file that is rarely opened to another
that i am working on. the closed file has part numbers and a specific
unchanging rate ( such as 30 strokes per minute) to a live worksheet upon
which i am calculating effiecencies
