Default Using fill handle - validated cell - protected sheet

I want to be drag a cell down. This cell is set up for validated entries only
(typed or from a list). The cell is not locked, yet when the worksheet is
protected I can not access the fill handle. When the sheet is not protected I
can get to the fill handle, although it is partially blocked by the
validation handle.

Help please.

Probably easier to use your arrow keys to select thecell, copy, highlight
where you want the validation cells and paste.

Default Using fill handle - validated cell - protected sheet

I am creating a company wide budgeting template and need to make it super
easy. The copy and paste would work, although the format of the template
would make this pretty cumbersome.

However, I found the solution. When I protect the sheet, I need to check the
€˜edit objects box toward the bottom of the protection options. This changes
your pointer from the hand/point back to the standard arrow and allows the
fill handle and validation box to work concurrently.
