Everytime I type in a number that starts with zeros in an excel cell - excel
automatically drops the zeros from the number how can I format the cell to keep the zero? |

To enter it as text, either precede the entry with an apostrophe or preformat
the col as Text. On the Menu Bar, click Format, Cells, Number, and choose Custom -- enter
