Hi there
Just wondering... is there a macro or any other way to count the number of rows in an one-column-wide array after adding in a blank row after each set of similar values in the array. If there are limitations in the macro, I can pre-sort the array to have the similar rows together and also have blank rows inserted after every group of similar cells. Also, the whole on-column-wide array may have multiple groups of similar cells. Thanks very much. Raj |

I'd drop those blank rows and add another column.
I put some kind of indicator in that column for each group (department/part number/sales person's name). Then I'd sort by that column to group them together and use Data|Subtotals to get those subtotals for each change in that group. Or I'd use data|pivottable (still delete the rows and add the column, though).
