Default Is a countdown timer possible?

Ideally I would like to create a timer that you could input minutes &
seconds. It would count backward to zero and sound an alarm upon zeroing.
It could be reset with a press of 'enter' or 'space', and could be displayed
in large font on the computer screen. Thank you!

Do you really want to do this in Excel? There are literally 1000's of stand
alone free programs to do this with...

I found this as the first hit in Google under Countdown Freeware.

If you had to do it in Excel I would use a modeless form and the
Application.OnTime event....
