I want to convert number to corresponding month eg., 1 Jan and so on

Hi Anitha
One way, with your number in A1, enter in B1 =DATE(1,A1,1) and format cell B1 as FormatCellsCustom mmm Date takes Date(Year,Month,Day) but we are not interested in the day or year, hence 1 will suffice in each case. The result will be 01 Jan 1901, but the format will cause it to show as just Jan. -- Regards Roger Govier "Anitha" wrote in message ... The result will be 01 Jan 1901, but the format will cause it to show
as just Jan That should have been if A1 contains 1 If A1 contains 10, then it would be 01 Oct 1901 and will show Oct. -- Regards Roger Govier "Roger Govier" wrote in message ...
