Default can I bold or have different colors in a pivot table?

Try the FORMAT REPORT command button on the PIVOT TABLE toolbar.

Move the cell pointer to any location in the pivot table and if the PIVOT
TABLE toolbar does not display click ViEW in the menu, select TOOLBARS and
click on PIVOT TABLE.

There might be a number of preset formats that will work for you.
