Hi Toinett
you didn't say how the information in the two workbooks is to be linked. But let's assume that you have Book1 with a value in cell A1 of Sheet1 that you want in Book 2, sheet1, cell A1. Open both books - ensure that they're both on sheet 1 choose windows / arrange - ok now you should be able to see them both side-by-side click in Book2, cell A1 and type an = now click on Book1, cell A1 (you need to click twice) and press enter - your two books are now linked. Please let us know if this is what you're after. Cheers JuileD "Toinett" wrote in message ... I would like to link information in two different workbooks. I've never done links before, so be easy. Open both workbooks, in the workbook where you want the link type in the
eqyual sign and then click window and the other workbook's name, then select the cell you want to link and press enter or copy the data you want to be linked from the source workbook, select a cell in the worknbook where you want the link and do editpaste special and select paste link Regards, Peo Sjoblom "Toinett" wrote: I would like to link information in two different workbooks. I would like to do the same thing, but I want to do the whole worksheet and
the workbooks are on a share drive and my personel drive. Can this be done? -- Mariann "JulieD" wrote: Hi Toinett you didn't say how the information in the two workbooks is to be linked. I have never linked before either. I am doing exactly what you and others
keep saying but am only getting one cell instead of the whole worksheet. What is the secret????
