Default open excel spreadsheet file xls from cd

I am tryin to open files on a cd , files are excel spreadsheet xls

Default open excel spreadsheet file xls from cd

did you go to the drive letter of your cd drive (via 'my computer') and
double left click on the file name? This normally will open up Excel and
then the file. Or open up Excel then 'file'...'open' and find the filenames
on the CD drive.

Yes I tried this, the file opens , but cant read, just asks if I want to find
answer on the internet.

You say you are trying to open from CD

Generally not a good idea.

Copy files to Hard Drive first then open from there.

What happens when you try?

Do you have Excel installed on your computer?

You are saying you never had Excel installed before you asked your original
question?
