Default vary row colors in excel?

To view spread sheets easier I would like to have every other row a different
color. ie white /gray.
Is there a simple function I can ckick or must I go to every other row and
select the back ground color I want.

Any help would be appreciated.

Visit this excellent website that gives instructions for what you described:

http://www.xldynamic.com/source/xld.CF.html#rows

Does that help?
