Thank you for your reply. I tried what you said and when I clicked remove
all, the box closed but nothing happened to the spreadsheet. The little boxes
with the 1 and 2 and all the little boxes underneath with the plus signs are
still there.

However, you are correct about the subtotals because it did show up on the
menu when I click on subtotals.

This operation requires the merged cells to be identically sized.

When I click on show help it says to unmerge all cells or make cells the
same size as merge cells.

I looked in the help and could not find anything on unmerging cells. So

do I get this report to sort?? I need to sort it by the Loam Amount
Column.
