Your Excel is setup for 'lazy' money entries - every thing gets two decimal
places for cents/pennies
Use Tools | Options ; open the Edit tab; in the left centre locate a box
called Fixed Decimal Places and uncheck this box
best wishes

I have my cells formatted as general. When I input the number 1470 it
makes
it 14.7 When I switch the formatting to a number with no decimal places
and
type in 1470 it changes it to the number 15. I just want to input the
whole
number 1470.
